Cathleen Allison/Nevada Appeal file photo 350 sheep grazed the slopes of C-Hill in an effort to create a 200-foot wide firebreak in this file photo from May 1999. The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension project was an experiment to evaluate the use of sheep grazing for clearing cheat grass to help protect residential areas from wildland fires.
