The total number of deaths reported is 352 compared to 360 in calendar 2021.
Through July, roadway fatalities are down in most Nevada counties. The exception is Clark County, where 142 have died this year compared to 119 last year.
One of the most significant increases was in motorcyclists killed in crashes.
Statewide, 24 pedestrians have been killed so far in 2022.
Of the 46 deaths, 39 were in Clark County. There were three in Washoe and none as of the end of February in Carson City.
Included in the list were six pedestrians, all but one of them in Clark County.
The news was bad in Carson City as well with six deaths so far.
Nevada suffered twice as many roadway fatalities this May as there were in the same month of 2020.
Through the first three months of this year, 78 people died in car crashes in Nevada.
