Flashing pedestrian crossing beacons will be installed on Wright Way, allowing pedestrians to activate the roadside signs to help stop traffic as they cross between parking and the DMV.
Overnight lane closures will take place on southbound Interstate 580 in Carson City Monday, July 1 as the Nevada Department of Transportation installs an overhead traffic sign.
The change would apply to 1.2 miles of U.S. 50 with a focus along the railroad bridge in Mound House to the Battle Born Dispensary.
Commercial vehicles with air brakes will be prohibited westbound over State Route 431 as the truck escape ramp in Incline Village is closed for maintenance.
Projects include resurfacing 17 miles of U.S. 50 between Silver Springs and the Leeteville junction, including enhanced roadside lighting and chain-up areas.
The stoppages will take place between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. near the Mt. Rose trailhead.
Northbound I-580 will be reduced to one lane between Mt. Rose Highway and Damonte Ranch Parkway.
Major travel delays and lane closures will be in place on U.S. 95 between Schurz and Hawthorne from Aug. 14 to Aug. 25.
NDOT and county officials have discussed signals at multiple locations, reconfiguration of the roadway and reducing the speed limit.
Periodic lane and ramp closures will take place on Interstate 580 in Washoe Valley beginning Monday, Aug. 7.
