Guardian Lodge #53 Free and Accepted Masons Scholarship was presented to James Steele, who is an Eagle Scout, an acknowledged artist, and a student who states he has never missed one day of school in his entire. Award was presented by Donisser Delacruz from Guardian Lodge #53 of Fallon.

Nicolle Hunt, payroll/benefits specialist and Kelly Robins, general manager present the Steel Dynamics Scholarship to Lacee Wallace. Steel Dynamics Scholarships are $5,000 per year for up to four years as long as the students maintain C averages, and their parents remain working at New Millennium.

Several donors presented scholarship awards to Vera Vaz in the CCHS Library on May 5. She will be headed to the University of Nevada to study medicine in the fall. Sandy White presented the Phyllis McCallum Memorial P.E.O. Scholarship. Vera Vaz, CCHS senior. Vera was also given scholarship award certificates that day from Recorders Association of Nevada for winning the RAN Scholarship and Sierra Nevada Realtors Group for winning the Alyce McCracken Memorial Scholarship.
