BAWNto hold event at Empire Ranch

The annual BAWN Golf Tournament, a benefit for the Carson Build PAC, will take place Friday, May 11, at Empire Ranch Golf Course.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. with lunch at 11 and a shotgun start at noon. An awards ceremony with appetizers and beverages will follow the tournament. The entry fee is $125 per person or $500 per team. Metcalf Builders is the corporate sponsor but hole and banner sponsorships are available. This year's tournament will be a "hooligan" format.

Kubota fires hole-in-one at Silver Oak

Jim Kubota recently shot a hole-in-one at Silver Oak Golf Club, using an 8-iron from the blue tee on the 144-yard 12th hole. Lois Kubota witnessed the ace.
