Sheriffs' log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• A 79-year-old retired Carson woman was arrested at noon Monday at Roop and Adams streets on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear in court on a traffic violation. Bail was set at $899.

• A 27-year-old Carson man was arrested at 1:59 p.m. Monday at Highway 50 East and Sherman Way on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear in court and driving without a license. Bail was set at $2,687.

• A 58-year-old Dayton man was arrested at 3:20 p.m. Monday at Silver Sage Drive and Sonoma Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear in court on a traffic violation. Bail was set at $304.

• Jorge Ahumada-Rodriguez, a car washer from Carson City was arrested at 6:13 p.m. Monday at Robinson and Roop streets on suspicion of felony possession of a false ID, misdemeanor driving with a false permit/license, driving with no proof of insurance and driving with his tail lights out. Bail was set at $3,600. He allegedly used his friends information to obtain a license and ID card.

• A 24-year-old Reno man was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $1,946.

• A 23-year-old Carson drywall hanger was arrested at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday on the intersection of Highway 50 East and Deer Run Road on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• A 28-year-old woman was arrested at 1:19 a.m. on suspicion of drunken driving at Main and sixth streets.

• A woman reported at 11:48 a.m. that someone crashed into the front of her truck the previous evening on the 100 block on East Cedar Street.

• A woman told sheriff's deputies she loaned her car to her brother at 1:46 p.m. on the 300 block of Dayton Valley Road. He was refusing to bring it back.

Douglas County

• The China Spring fire was controlled at 335 acres at 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center in Minden. Two handcrews and three engines remain on scene mopping up and patrolling for hotspots.
