Nellie Evelyn Crail Nelson

Nellie Evelyn Crail Nelson, born November 9, 1916 in Folsom, CA to Wilson Edward Crail and Alice Theresa Riley Crail, passed away August 26, 2018 in Fallon, NV.

She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Lucille Westervelt, Melvin Crail, James Crail, Beth Engstrom, Muriel Pebles and her husbands, Norman (Bud) Tharp and Frank Nelson.

She is survived by daughters, Alice Gularte of Severna Park, MD and Sandra (Dean) Goodfellow of Fallon, NV; granddaughter, Brenda May; 3 great grandchildren, Michael (Tricia) May of Reno, NV; Leah (Pouvay) Sadabseng of Minden, NV; Tyler (Madison) May of Gardnerville, NV and 5 great-great grandchildren. All of her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Nellie had resided in Fallon since 2008. In celebration of her 100th birthday, Mayor Ken Tedford presented her with a proclamation, proclaiming November 9, 2016 as Nellie Nelson Day. She was thrilled and honored to receive this recognition.

Nellie was loved by all who knew her. Her family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of Highland Inn and Banner Churchill Hospital for all their help.

Her final resting place will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 2720 Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento, CA. There will be a graveside service, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 12 noon.
