Greenwave, Bighorns prep sports calendar: Spring season underway

Mother Nature had her way last week, canceling most of the outdoor events while the Fallon swim team was able to compete in Carson. This week’s Fallon baseball series against Hug and North Valleys may be moved to Fallon due to field conditions.

The following schedule is for Churchill County and Oasis Academy sports from March 16-22. Home CCHS baseball and softball games are at the Edward Arciniega Athletic Complex. Home Oasis Academy baseball and lacrosse games are at the county fields, and softball games are at the East Richards Street field.

March 17

• CCHS: Baseball at Hug at 3 p.m.; varsity at home
• CCHS: Softball vs. Hug at 3 p.m.; varsity at home
• CCHS: Track at Del Oro, 12:30 p.m.
• CCHS: Swimming vs. Sparks and Hug at Alf Sorenson, 3 p.m.
• OACP: Softball vs. Virginia City, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• OACP: Baseball vs. Excel Christian, 3 p.m.

March 18
