After stopping a four-game losing streak last month, Oasis Academy’s volleyball team couldn’t find the win column in four road matches last week.

Oasis Academy dropped to 2-9 in the 2A North and two games behind the No. 6 spot for the playoffs with two weeks left in the regular season.

Oasis Academy returned home this week for a rematch with Coral Academy on Wednesday. The Bighorns are off until Oct. 18 when they travel to Incline.

In last Monday’s 25-6, 25-6 and 25-9 loss at North Tahoe, the Bighorns totaled four kills with sophomores Dahlila Creer, Grace Laca and Taylor Hyde, and freshman Reese Laca each having one. Senior Shelbi Bracken recorded a block, freshman Lakota Casey had one dig, and senior Madison Darst and sophomore Alyssa Ayers each had one assist.

Coral Academy swept Oasis Academy, 25-19, 25-12 and 25-16, on Wednesday in Reno. After winning the first game in Saturday’s match at West Wendover, Oasis Academy fell short, 25-23, 19-25, 13-25 and 19-25. The Bighorns also lost to Battle Mountain on the road.
