Obituary: Emil C. Sulli

Emil C. Sulli, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 33 years, died July 29, 2001, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born June 3, 1921, in San Jose, Calif. to Nicholas and Catherine Schiro Sulli.

He married Eleanor Parlato Aug. 5, 1944, in San Jose.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Jose.

Mr. Sulli owned Carson Foods and ran the Alum Rock Cheese Co. He was the director of the OARC Thrift Store in Carson City. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Carmela Sulli, Mary Norona and Josephine Sulli and daughter Kathy Mosely.

Among his survivors are his wife Eleanor, sons Nick and John and daughter JoAnn Medina, all of Carson City; a sister Dorothy Moreno of San Jose; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be at a later date.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements
