GARDNERVILLE - A construction worker killed in an accident at a job site at Job's Peak Ranch Estates was identified Wednesday as a 39-year-old man who recently moved to the area from San Diego.

Raymond Eric Bauer was employed by M.C. Neuffer Co. of Reno.

Bauer was riding Tuesday in a bucket above a fork-lift type machine when it tipped over, said Douglas County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Lance Modispacher. He said it is unclear whether Bauer jumped or fell from the bucket.

The accident occured about 9:55 a.m. at Job's Peak Ranch Estates on Foothill Road.

Bauer apparently died from blunt force trauma to the head, Modispacher said.

The Washoe County Cornoner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
