The American Cancer Society's Special Touch program will be presented to women at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.

The 45-minute informational seminar will be facilitated by Sally deLipkau, a breast cancer survivor, and will feature a brief video and question and answer period.

All senior women are encouraged to attend. A woman's risk of developing breast cancer increases as she gets older. More than 75 percent of breast cancers diagnosed each year occur in women older than 50 years of age. A woman of 70 is almost twice as likely to develop breast cancer in the next year as a woman aged 50.

The deadline to register is Monday. To register or for information, call 883-0703.
