The Carson High School wrestling team will be offering food and refreshments, and at the same time raising funds for its upcoming season, as part of the Nevada Day festivities in Carson City on Saturday.

The Senators will be serving grilled Italian sausage as their featured attraction at Adele's Restaurant from 9 a.m. until noon. Adele's has donated food and drinks for the fund-raiser, according to Carson wrestling coach Tim McCarthy.

The Senators officially start practice on Monday, Nov. 13, and open their season at home Dec. 2 with the annual Capital City Duals. The field for the 12-team dual team tournament includes Eagle Point, Ore., a team that won the 92-team Sierra Nevada Classic last year, along with Lassen (Susanville, Calif.), Livingston, Calif., Davis, Calif., Reno, McQueen, Wooster, Hug, Douglas, Sparks, Galena as well as the host Senators.
