Commission meets Friday and Saturday

The Nevada State Board of Wildlife Commissioners will meet on Friday and Saturday in Reno.


The commission will meet at the Nevada Division of Wildlife headquarter's conference room at 1100 Valley Road.


- The Friday agenda begins at 1:30 p.m. and includes:


Presentation of tenure awards for years of service to several division employees.


Presentation of the Ted. C. Frantz Employee of The Year Award.


A report on all-terrain vehicles.


A report by the Access Committee.


A report on the Landowner Damage Compensation Tag Program.


- The Saturday agenda will begin at 8:30 a.m. and includes:


A report on the findings from the recently completed survey of Nevada big game hunters.


A petition from the Elko County Advisory Board to manage Wildlife to adopt a spike bull elk hunt.


A report on the Mountain Lion Management Plan.


A report on the Central Nevada Elk Management Plan.
