Chester E. Huff, 62, a Las Vegas resident for the past 29 years and former Carson City resident for many years, died Dec. 15, 2000, in a Las Vegas care center. He was born June 24, 1938, in Pecos, Texas.
Mr. Huff was a retired engineer for the Nevada Department of Transportation. He had worked in Carson City before transferring with the department to Las Vegas. He was also an Army reservist.
Among his survivors are his wife May of Las Vegas; daughter Tammy Halvorsen of Angola, N.Y.; son Alan of North Las Vegas; mother Martha of Las Vegas; brothers Walter of Reno and Eddie of Sparks; sisters Mary Johnson of Oakdale, Calif., Dorothy Ward of El Monte, Calif. and Linda Zastrow of Sparks and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at Bunkers Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
