Emil Forst, 89, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, died Dec. 2, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born June 17, 1911, in Prague, Neb., to Joseph and Mary Siedenglanze Forst.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Jacksonville, Ore.
Mr. Forst spent most of his working life in San Carlos, Calif., where he owned and operated a meat market.
Among his survivors are his sons Gilbert of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Martin of Oakland, Calif.; brother Frank of Santa Cruz, Calif.; sisters Helen Bowmar of San Juan, Calif., Margaret of North San Juan, Calif., Margaret Wilson of Modesto, Calif., and Thelma Matthews of San Jose, Calif. and two grandchildren.
No service will be held locally.
