A private family service will be held for Roy V. Kelly, 91, a lifelong Nevada resident.
Mr. Kelly died Oct. 28, 2000, at Carson Healthcare in Carson City. He was born Oct. 14, 1909, in Reno to Frank M. Kelly and Ruth E. Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Olivia M. Kelly and daughter Kay Kelly Moon in 1963.
Mr. Kelly graduated from Carson High School in 1926 and Heald's Business College in San Francisco in 1927.
He owned Kelly and Lindsay Grocery and Bakery from 1931 to 1957. He worked for the Nevada Highway Planning Department from 1957-1972.
Mr. Kelly was a charter member and past president of Carson City Lion's Club. He was also a member of Carson City Lodge No. 1 of Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rites Bodies of Free Masons in Reno, and the Kerak Shrine Temple AADNMS of Reno.
Among his survivors are his son William of Oakhill, Va. and one grandson.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
