Roy S. Diehl, 74, a 41-year Carson City resident, died Oct. 27, 2006, in Reno.

Mr. Diehl was born Oct. 21, 1932, in Colville, Wash., to Jennings and Alice Smith Diehl.

Before moving to Nevada in 1962, Mr. Diehl lived at Moses Lake, Wash.

He graduated from high school in Colville. He married Harlene Pinchbeck on March 9, 1957, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

He worked as a miner and in heavy construction, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the American Legion and Labor Local 169 in Reno. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Among his survivors are his wife, of Carson City; daughter Debra Brown of Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters Beverly Pavel of Yuma, Ariz., and Juanita Schults of Irrigon, Ore.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

At Mr. Diehl's request, no services will be held.

Autumn Funerals and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
