Eugene P. Bowers, 94, a Gardnerville resident for the past three months, died May 5, 2000, at Barton Skilled Nursing in Gardnerville. He was born Nov. 29, 1905, in San Francisco.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Sunnyvale, Calif.
Mr. Bowers was a master craftsman in the construction industry for 80 years. He was proud to be a Mason for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Babetta in 1999.
Among his survivors are his sons Jerry Moore of Campbell, Calif., and Wally Brown of California; daughters Bonnie Daly of Durango, Colo., and Sherry Battaglia of Atherton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Bay Area at a later date.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
