A funeral for Harold George Steiner, 73, a Carson City and Northern Nevada resident for the past 20 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Steiner died June 4, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born March 24, 1927, in Hayward, Calif.
Before moving to this area he lived in Hayward.
He married Elsie McCae July 17, 1987, in Carson City.
Mr. Steiner worked at Harrah's Casino at Lake Tahoe for many years. He enjoyed fishing and radios. He was a Catholic.
He served in the U.S. Army during the later part of World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife Elsie of Carson City; stepsons Tom McCabe of Nevada, Tim Trompke of Texas and Kevin McCabe of Washington and Mike and Ken McCabe of Texas; stepdaughters Debora Faciana and Gloria Scambler of California and Michelle Gray of Washington; sister Mary Sweringer of California and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
