Obituary: John Allen Tubbs

John Allen Tubbs, 61, a Friendship, Tenn. resident, died June 18, 2000 in Burnet, Texas.

Mr. Tubbs was a Southern gospel music minister. He was a member of Three Oaks Chapel and Gideons International where he was President of Crockett Co. Camp. He was the West Tennessee Representative of the Southern Gospel Music Association and a member of the Hall of Fame in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Among his survivors are his wife Barbara; daughters LeaAnne Bartlett of Independence, Mo. and Carol Cunningham of Lee's Summit, Mo.; son, Tracy Allen of Raytown, Mo.; stepdaughter Mary Jeffers of Carson City; stepsons Billy LaValle Harmon of Minden, Raymond Harmon of Heber Springs, Ark. and Aaron Harmon of Sacramento; sister, Carol Young of Lenox, Tenn. and 12 grandchildren.
