Obituary: Mabel Edna Wiseley

Mabel Edna Wiseley, 95, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, died May 11, 2000 at Carson Convalescent Center. She was born March 1, 1905, in Toledo, Ohio, to Frederick and Hattie Ruse Warnke.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in North Las Vegas, Toledo and Detroit, Mich.

She married Clovis Moffitt Wisely in 1935.

Mrs. Wiseley and her husband were members of the Leisure Hour Club for years and frequent visitors to the Carson City Senior Center. She was well known in this area as a bridge player and continued to play until the last few years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and two brothers.

Among her survivors are her son, John and wife Rita, both of Carson City, daughter; Judith Carpenter of Detroit; one grandson and two step grandchildren.

According to her wishes, no service will be held. She donated her body to the medical school of the University of Nevada, Reno.
