Terrance R. McAndrews, 71, a Washoe Valley resident for the past 27 years, died Oct. 3, 1999, at his home. He was born March 4, 1928, in Minnesota, to Joseph P. and Olive O. O'Grady McAndrews.
He grew up in San Diego, Calif.
He graduated from the School of Mines - New Mexico in 1959. He was the oldest graduate of University of Nevada, Reno in 1993.
Before moving to Washoe Valley, he lived in Minneapolis, Minn.
Mr. McAndrews was an illustrator for the State of Nevada. He was a Past Eagle Scout and he was a Catholic.
He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam war.
Among his survivors are his wife, Ellen M. Keegan McAndrews, of Washoe Valley; sons, Pat, of Stagecoach, Matthew L., of Spokane, Wash.; Terry R. Jr., of Carson City and Daniel P., of Largo, Fla.; his mother, Olive McAndrews, of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; a brother, Joe, of San Diego and three grandchildren.
No service is planned at this time.
Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory.
John Sparks Memorial Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
