SIHL All-Star golf event set

The first Sierra Inline Hockey All-Star Golf Tournament has been scheduled.

The event is being held as a fund-raiser for the SIHL 12 and under all-stars, who will be traveling to Chicago to compete in the USA Hockey Inline National Championships, beginning July 31.

The golf tournament will be held Thursday, July 26 at Arrow Creek Golf Course in Reno. Registration will be at 7 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. for the four-player scramble event.

Cost is $100 per player for those who register before July 25 a nd $125 for those who register the day of the event. The fee includes greens fee, cart, lunch and prizes.

The tournament is also looking for sponsors. A tournament sponsorship costs $500, which includes a major banner at the 19th hole barbecue, an ad in the tournament handout and promotion at the awards banquet.

There are also hole, longest drive and closest to the pin sponsorships for $125.
