The following people were in custody at the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:
- Marshall Butler, 23, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. Sunday on Tiger Drive for suspicion of felony burglary. He is accused of stealing stereo equipment from a car. His bail was set at $25,000.
- A 42-year-old mechanic from South Lake Tahoe was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on Highway 50 East for suspicion of the following misdemeanor offenses: drunken driving, speeding, safety belts, expired plates and a broken windshield.
- A 28-year-old inspector from Reno was arrested at 7:28 p.m. at Robinson and Carson streets for suspicion of the following misdemeanor offenses: drunken driving, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, no proof of insurance, open container of alcohol, following too closely and speeding. His bail was set at $3,950.
- John Randolph Baird, 49, self employed from Gardnerville, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. on Highway 50 East for suspicion of felony convicted sex offender failure to register and the following misdemeanor offenses: drunken driving, open container of alcohol and speeding. His bail was set at $3,346.
- Daniel Frank Sims, 28, unemployed from Las Vegas, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at Washington and Division streets for suspicion of felony trafficking, felony battery on a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer. His bail was set at $40,000.
- Daniel Brian McConnell, 29, a lawyer from Stateline, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Sunday on Highway 395 for suspicion of gross misdemeanor reckless driving, misdemeanor drunken driving and speeding. His bail was set at $1,872.
- Tyra Dawn Hicks, 29, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 6:05 a.m. in the 400 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $3,605.
Deputies responded to the following calls Saturday:
- Two non-injury accidents.
- Two suspicious subjects.
- One welfare check.
- Two hit-and-run accidents.
- Two restraining order violations.
- Four traffic complaints.
- Four domestic disputes.
- One petty larceny.
- One commercial burglary.
- One fight.
