Sheriff's Blotter

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:

-- Erin Merritt, 19, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Nye Lane for suspicion of gross misdemeanor taking of a motor vehicle without owner's consent.

-- Jose Medina, 34, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Lone Mountain Drive for suspicion of felony cultivating marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500.

-- Denise Freeland, 46, a secretary from Carson City, was arrested at 2:44 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Pheasant Drive on two New River Township warrants for suspicion of felony forgery, felony obtaining money under false pretense. Her bail was set at $7,500.
