Obituary: Daniel Francis Collins

A service for Daniel Francis Collins, 70, a Carson City resident for the past two years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mr. Collins died Jan. 20, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1931, in Lewiston, Maine.

Before moving to Carson City, he was a long-time resident of Truckee, Calif.

Mr. Collins was a retired Lockheed Martin employee. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Among his survivors are his wife of 48 years Joyce; daughter and son-in-law Debra and Cory Tatz of San Diego, Calif., and daughter Janet Collins of Truckee; sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Kathy of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ronald and Vicki of Floriston, Calif., and grandchildren Tiffany Bullion, Alicia, Shaun, Caleb, Mikayla, Tyler and Megan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Reno Memorial Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
