Senior Babe Ruth forming Parallel League

A meeting will be held for individuals interested in forming spring baseball teams for players ages 16-18.

The meeting for the Senior Babe Ruth Parallel League will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Cattleman's in Washoe City.

The boundaries for Senior Babe Ruth include Northeastern California (Susanville through Lake Tahoe to Mammoth) and Northern Nevada (Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Dayton Fallon, Lovelock, Winnemucca, Yerington, Minden, Gardnerville, Carson City, Lake Tahoe). Players may be no older than 18 as of July 31.

The Parallel League has been established to provide a chance to play baseball for players not participating in their high school programs. Players on high school rosters are not allowed to participate.

The season will be held in the spring and end with a tournament to be held from April 30 through May 4.
