The Kingsbury Middle School seventh grade girls volleyball team finished with a perfect season with a 12-0 record in the Tah-Neva League.
It is believed to be the only team in the school's 25-year history to go unbeaten. In the 12 matches this season, Kingsbury was taken to three games only three times. The team was made up of sixth and seventh graders.
"This was an extremely talented group of girls," Kingsbury coach Kevin Huff said. "They worked very hard this season and worked very well together. No matter which girls were on the court, the girls were very uplifting to each other.
"They never complained at practice and always wanted to get better. I am very proud of all of them."
Kingsbury also placed third in the South Tahoe Optimist Tournament with a 6-2 record. The team finished with an overall record of 18-2.
