Eagle Valley, Carson teams win track meet

Evan Pearson and Ean Witter each were quadruple winners to lead a dominant performance for the Eagle Valley eighth grade boys track team at the Tah-Neva Championships on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Carson Middle School's boys and girls swept the seventh grade titles. Eagle Valley's eighth grade boys won with 157 points while Carson was second with 64.

Carson's seventh grade boys edged Eagle Valley for the title as Carson had 120 points while Eagle Valley finished second with 107. Carson's girls won the seventh grade title with 113 points while Eagle Valley was second with 89. Kingsbury won the eighth grade boys title with 107 points while Carson was second with 89.

Pearson won the triple jump, long jump and 400 meters and ran on the 4x400 relay. Witter won the 100 and 200 and ran on the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

For Carson's seventh grade boys, Dylan Sawyers won the 100 and triple jump while Brent Moyle won the 3,200 and the 1,600. For Eagle Valley's seventh grade boys, Chris Marsh won the 400 and Justin Otero won the high jump.

For Carson's seventh grade girls, Lisa Yamamoto won the shot put and discus. For more results, see the Skinny, B5.
