The following people were taken into custody by the Carson City jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.


-- Donna Lee Courtney, 35, of Carson City, a nurse, was arrested at noon Friday in the 3400 block of Goni Road on a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for the investigation of falsely representing to a pharmacist to obtain a controlled substance. Bail was set at $2,500.


-- Marisa Jeanine Stevens, 23, a transient, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Friday at Telegraph and Roop streets for the investigation of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, jaywalking and two warrants, one out of Storey County for grand larceny and one out of Reno Justice Court for failure to appear on a traffic citation. Bail was set at $2,500.


-- David Ray Chavez, 21, of Carson City, unemployed, was arrested at 7:49 p.m. Friday at the Carson City Sheriff's Department on a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for the investigation of statutory sexual seduction. Bail was set at $2,500.


-- A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 4:06 a.m. Saturday at Highway 50 and Saliman Road for the investigation of first-offense driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with a police officer, no valid driver's license, failing to use due care, hit-and-run with property damage and no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $4,175.


-- A 20-year-old unemployed male was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Airport Road for the investigation of two warrants out of Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear after admission to bail. Bail was set at $1,890.


-- A 23-year-old Carson City mechanic was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Saturday at the Reno Police Department on a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for the investigation of criminal contempt. Bail was set at $3,000.


-- A 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Airport Road on warrants out of the Carson City Justice Court for the investigation of DUI, no proof of insurance, following too closely and driving with a suspended license. Bail was set at $1,890.
