Jim fires 77 in Northern 3A golf tournament

Yerington High's Darren Jim shot a 77 to lead Lyon County golfers at a Northern 3A golf tournament at Mason Valley Golf Club in Yerington.

Spring Creek won the tournament with a 396. Spring Creek was followed by: North Tahoe, 414; Lowry 419; Manogue, 427; Yerington, 431; Truckee, 433; Fernley, 434; and Dayton, 466.

Other Lyon County individual scores were: Yerington -- Brian Blasco 84, Kyle Frede 89, Kevin O'Keefe 90, Mike Bassett 91.

Fernley -- Matt Leestma 82, Ashley Elson 82, Eric Dye 83; Mike Shinn 89, Jake Dills 98.
