Police are looking for a "young teen" who fired at least four shots into an occupied home in Carson City.
At 1:37 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to a home in the 3700 block of Woodside Drive.
"A verbal and physical altercation occurred earlier in the evening between several men and the occupants of the residence on Woodside. When that altercation occured there was no police response," said Chief Deputy Scott Burau of the Carson City Sheriff's Department. "It wasn't until the shots were fired that a neighbor called and our patrol units arrived."
Burau said two Hispanic males were seen running from the area immediately after the shots were heard. At least five shots were reported, but officers only found four bullet holes in the walls of a garage renovated to be a bedroom.
Although the home was occupied at the time, no one was injured.
"We are conducting a substantial investigation," Burau said. "We believe we are dealing with juveniles, so I am not at liberty to release names. The suspects' ages range in the young teens."
One suspect was described as a male wearing baggy pants and possibly a black flannel top.
