Carson City Sheriff’s deputies are trying to locate three suspects after a drive-by shooting that occurred Monday night in Carson City.

Units responded to reports of a drive-by shooting near Woodside and Stanton drives around 9 p.m. Monday. Deputies suspect the weapon was a BB pellet gun and they believe the suspects were targeting the house because of a dispute over a girl.

The house was occupied at the time of the shooting, however, no one was hurt. Residents in the home said they were in the living room watching TV when pellets hit the house and went through the window.

Initially, deputies received tips the suspected vehicle had gone to the Stanton Park apartments, and they received information about where one suspect allegedly lived and they set up a perimeter to maintain the residence and make sure no one was trying to come out of it. They got a search warrant for the residence but the only people in the residence were a two-year-old and the mother of one of the alleged suspects.

Deputies apprehended the vehicle Tuesday around 5:30 a.m., and a 29-year-old male was taken into custody, however Sgt. Earl Mays said he was being uncooperative.

Police are still looking for three other suspects, three males ages 15, 12 and 11. The incident remains under investigation.
