A Reno man was sentenced to prison this week for firebombing a Carson City law office last year.

Ricci Capirici, 54, was sentenced Tuesday to four to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in September to tossing a plastic container filled with a flammable powder onto the roof of the Crowell, Susich, Owen and Tackes law offices on West Fourth Street on Nov. 9, 2001.

A passer-by at 5 a.m. saw the flames, which firefighters quickly extinguished. The fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage.

Police believe Capirci was upset over his involvement in litigation between himself and a tow company represented by the law firm.

Carson City investigators learned of Capirci's involvement because of threats he was allegedly making in Reno.
