A graveside service for Darrell L. Knowlton, 79, a Carson City resident for 27 years and a Bishop, Calif., resident for 15 years, will be at noon Wednesday at East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop.
A memorial will be at First Presbyterian Church in Carson City at 2 p.m. Friday.
He died Nov. 24, 2002, at his home in Carson City. He was born July 1, 1923, in Panora, Iowa, to Lamar Knowlton and Nelle Fleak Knowlton.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Max.
Mr. Knowlton was a salesman and driver for Coca Cola and Cal Gas Propane for many years. He was a member of Carson Lodge No. 1 Free and Accepted Masons and a Mason for 57 years. He ws also a member of the Bishop Lions Club, Silver Sage Sams RV Group and First Presbyterian Church of Carson City.
Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years Ava Huss Knowlton; son, Dennis L. Knowlton of Carson City; and daughter Judi Kruse and her husband, David, of Badger, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund or the Cancer Resource Center in Carson City.
