The following men and women were taken into custody by the Carson City jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.


-- Mike Sample, 44, of Carson City, a welder, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of West College Parkway for the investigation of a felony probation violation. He is being held without bail.


-- Steven Lloyd Parlanti, 23, of Reno, a waiter, was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Friday in the first block of Castle Way for the investigation of hit-and-run and a probation violation. He is being held without bail.


-- Valarie McCallister, 36, of Carson City, a meat department worker, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Friday at Fifth Street and Edmonds Drive for the investigation of possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $25,000.


-- Linda Buzick, 49, a transient, was arrested at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Carson City Sheriff's Department for the investigation of possession of stolen property and a probation violation. She is being held without bail.


-- Stephen Scott Morse, 37, of Carson City, no occupation noted, was arrested at 12:44 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of North Carson Street for the investigation of possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $25,000.


-- A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of South Harbin Street for the investigation of first-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,105.


-- A 21-year-old store stocker was arrested at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at Mills Park for the investigation of domestic battery. Bail was set at $5,105.
