A funeral for W.D. "Bill" Moore, 88, a Silver Springs resident for the past year, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Hughson, Calif.
Mr. Moore died Oct. 23, 2002, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Webster County, Miss.
Before moving to Silver Springs, he lived in Ceres, Calif., for 55 years and Modesto, Calif., for one year.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Moore.
Among his survivors are his wife of 66 years Euretha; son Phillip of Reno; daughter and son-in-law Sara and Bill Stalhut of Gardnerville; sister Alamae Bailey of Wellington, Texas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
