Gary Wright, or Mr. Right as he prefers to be called, is a professional Psychic Reader and pastor of Sierra Tahoe Enlightenment Center, expected to open sometime in mid-2003.

Wright practices his calling at All Things Mystikal and Body, Mind, Spirit.

A transplant from the Wisconsin cold who favors the weather and the beauty of the Nevada area, Wright has been doing psychic readings most of his 51 years.

"I was born in a family of very gifted people, it was a routine way of life for me," Wright said. "My mom didn't yell much, she just sent messages telepathically, and I knew I'd better behave. She still calls me and tells me what I have been doing. I can't hide anything from her."

The psychic reading process is simple, he said. Wright takes his client's right hand and holds it for a minute, then begins to write information pertinent to that person's state of being at the time.

He says he can describe a person or situation in the client's life with enough clarity to help the person deal with and heal emotions and inner struggles.

"I never pry into lives," he said. "I only go where people give me permission. Spying is not polite."

Wright, whose reputation is beginning to grow in the Sierra, says he'll take on a skeptic as well as someone who believes in his gift.

"I think everyone has a right to be cautious about this sort of thing," he said. "There are too many phonies out there. They get your money, but they don't really help you.

"Yes, I get paid for it, too. It is my profession, but the result is for the betterment of the individual's life for whom I read, not just my pocketbook."

Wright also is able to "scan the aura," an electromagnetic field that glows around each of us, he said.

"I feel warm spots sometimes and that tells me the person needs to go see a physician. I don't diagnose or treat, all I do is tell people they should talk to a professional health specialist, when necessary, and see why I came up with the hot spot.

"I am here to help and see healing done." he said. "People are my life, ask any of my friends. I am devoted to openness and honesty and I press myself to be sensitive to others' needs."

Wright is at All Things Mystikal, at 1815 N. Carson St., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 882-2627. Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can find him at Body, Mind, Spirit at 314 S. Carson St.
