Margaret McLane Scott, 86, a Carson City resident since 1991, died April 4, 2003, in Carson City.
Mrs. Scott was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Glenwood McLane and Harrie Johnston.
Mrs. Scott attended Osborn School, Phoenix Union High School, Phoenix Junior College, all in Phoenix; the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University.
She married Raymond V. Scott in 1941 in Phoenix.
Mrs. Scott worked as a secretary and accountant in law offices for about 50 years in Phoenix and Flagstaff, Ariz.
She was active in her children's 4-H club activities. She was a member of the Northern Arizona Archaeology Society, the Sierra Club and the Museum of Northern Arizona.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Sandra deVaney of Minden; son, Dale Scott of Polvadero, N.M.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
