Peter C. Bernhard has been reappointed as chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Bernhard, 51, is a partner in the law firm of Bernhard and Leslie in Las Vegas. He was first appointed Oct. 1, 2001, to finish the term of Brian Sandoval, who resigned to run for attorney general.
The office pays $55,000 a year.
Bernhard is a graduate of Harvard University and George Washington Law School.
The gaming commission is a five-member panel that makes final decisions on all gaming licenses and policy issues, disciplinary actions and complaints within the industry.
The Gaming Control Board, which operates the state's gaming regulatory system, reports to the commission.
The appointment is for a four-year term.
