Earl Ramsey, Jr., 43, a Tupelo, Miss. resident died Aug. 17, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 16, 1959, in Los Angeles.

He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1977 and attended Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.

He lived in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for several years before moving to Tupelo.

Mr. Ramsey was active in the employee staffing business in Pennsylvania and Carson City before becoming disabled.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Frank F. Majers of Demopolis, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Parks of Coldwater, Miss and a sister Mary Virginia Ramsey.

Among his survivors are his mother Ann Majers Engelhart of Tupelo; father Earl A. Ramsey of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law Rebecca R. and Dan Jones of Cottondale, Ala.; children Earl "Carson" Ramsey and Erica Ann Ramsey and their mother Tracey N. Ramsey all of Grenada and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

A private service and burial will be in the Parks-Ramsey Family Cemetery in Coldwater.

Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
