Fernley's Don Boyle qualified for the National Senior Club Professional Tournament with a fourth place finish at the Northern California PGA Senior Stroke Play Championship.
Boyle had a two-day total of 142 (71-71) to finish five strokes behind tournament leaders Glen Stubblefield of La Contenta Golf Course who fired a 137 (66-71) and Charlie Gibson of Windsor Golf, who also fired a 137 (68-69). The tournament was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club at Boulder Ridge.
Stubblefield beat Gibson in a playoff for the title. The top 11 players qualified for the national event.
