Fernley's Jonathan Ball, Dayton's Mallory Bozeman and Yerington's Derek Wellock and Lucas Mudloff all won titles at the Northern 3A Wrestling Championships.
The top five wrestlers qualified for this Saturday's NIAA 3A State Championships sponsored by U.S. Bank to be held in Winnemucca. Bozeman won at 125 pounds and Ball won at 145. At 171, Wellock beat Dayton's Brian Irwin 10-2 in the finals. At heavyweight, Mudloff beat Fernley's Lonnie Hatcher 11-3 in the finals.

145 -- Scott Redwine, Dayton, third; 152 -- Josh Whitman, Fernley, second. 160 -- Shawn McCarty, Yerington, second; Corey Ryan, Fernley, third; Jeremy Stanfield, Dayton, fourth. 189 -- Tim Torres, Dayton, third; 215 -- Ryan Gillmore, Yerington, fourth. Heavyweight -- Justin Seals, Dayton, fourth.
