The following men were booked into the Carson City Jail. Suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


-- A 47-year-old machinist from Carson City was arrested Monday at 12:22 a.m. for suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and reckless driving. Bail was set at $1,710.


-- Richard Tarrats, 46, an unemployed computer programmer from Carson City, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Brown Street for suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the police report, Tarrats cut his wife's hand "in an attempt to forcibly cut her wedding band from her finger." Bail was set at $33,105.


-- Israel Ralla, aka "Muppet," 21, a laborer from Carson City, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of Woodside Drive for suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. He allegedly had a pair of brass knuckles in his pocket. Bail was set at $5,710.


-- Jeffrey Standefer, 27, a laborer from Carson City, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Woodside Drive for suspicion of felony grand larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, a warrant for failure to appear, possession of fictitious registration and petty larceny. Bail was set at $30,045.


-- Paul Charles Dewitt, 50, a transient, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of felony false identification to avoid prosecution, misdemeanor obstructing justice, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to comply. Bail was set at $3,420.


-- A 49-year-old heavy-equipment operator from Carson City was arrested at 7:07 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Kitchen Drive for suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $5,105.
