The Capital City Volleyball Club's 15 and under gold team recently placed 67th out of 330 clubs in the 16 and under division at the Volleyball Festival in Sacramento.
Among 15 and under teams, Capital City's 15-gold team actually had the eighth highest finish among 60 clubs. The Volleyball Festival is the World's largest women's sporting event.
Capital City Volleyball Club will also hold its Cam-Kel volleyball clinics. Capital City head coach Steve George will direct the clinics.
A clinic for girls in grades 7-11 will be held July 17-19 and a clinic to be held July 21-23 will focus on setting and hitting. Cost for each clinic is $75.
George has helped more than 200 girls receive college scholarships in his career. Under his direction, the Capital City 17 and under gold team placed third at the United States Junior Olympics. Six girls from that team received college scholarships.
