The R.A.C. Gymnastics Allstar Cheerleading squads of Carson City completed another successful season, with each of its two competition squads bringing home trophies at every competition.
The Mascots, competing in the fourth grade and under division, consisted of Hannah Schultz, Hannah Spector, Hana Vasquez-Stading, Tiffany Phenix, and Shelby Swanson. Participating in three competitions, they brought home first from the University of Nevada Cheerfest, third from the Spotlight Dance Cup, and fifth from the USA Regional Championships held at Paramount's Great America.
The Junior Prep Squad, with members Gabriella Schultz, Michelle McDonald, and Sarah Melia, competed against some of the best cheer squads in the United States. The trio brought home two third place trophies while qualifying for the Spotlight Dance Cup National Championships in the Pom/Drill Division. They also took sixth at the USA Regional Championships.
R.A.C. is now accepting up to 30 new members for this season's award winning squad. Aspiring cheerleaders of all levels who will be entering kindergarten through ninth grades are invited to stop by and check out the program. Call Steffany Walker, 883-5477 for more information.
