Sheriff's Blotter

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

-- Arturo Navaro, a 34-year-old unemployed Carson City man, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Saturday on the corner of Seventh and Carson streets on misdemeanor suspicion of driving with a suspended license and felony suspicion of being a convicted sex offender who failed to change his address. Bail was set at $6,100.

-- A 42-year-old Carson City man employed at Mountain Air was arrested at 2:22 a.m. in the 4000 block of Village Drive on misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery and probation violation. Bail was set at $5,105.

-- Dennis Ray Phelps, 56, an unemployed Carson City man, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Friday at Carson-Tahoe Hospital on felony suspicion of probation violation. No bail was set.

-- Megan Shea Burdette, an unemployed, 27-year-old Carson City woman, was arrested at 1:04 p.m. Friday at the Smith's store on Highway 50 East on two counts felony suspicion uttering a forged instrument, gross misdemeanor suspicion of conspiracy to utter a forged instrument, felony suspicion of possession of stolen property, felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, felony suspicion of writing checks on a nonexistent account, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor suspicion of possession of a hypodermic device. Bail was set at $60,705.

-- A 36-year-old Dayton waitress was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Washoe County Jail on misdemeanor suspicion of contempt of court for failure to complete community service. A cash-only bail was set at $730.
