Bass, Diaz win zone wrestling titles

Dan Bass won the title at 145 pounds to lead the Carson Middle School seventh grade wrestling team to a second place finish at the Tah-Neva Zone Championships this past weekend.


John Diaz also won the title at heavyweight for Carson's eighth graders. In addition, Bass was named as the Outstanding Seventh Grade Wrestler in the tournament.


Other seventh graders to place for Carson were: Second -- Drew Good, 85 pounds; Blake Davidson, 100; Hunter Santillo, 115; Garrett Truesdell, 125; A.J. Jolclover, 135. Third -- Todd Banko, 85; Anthony Altamirano, 110. Fourth -- Brian Bedoy, 175; Tommy Preston, 80; Matt Scott, 105.


Carson's eighth graders placed sixth. Other eighth graders to place were:


Second -- Owen Craugh, 85. Third -- JoJo Wilson, 90; Alex Biber, 175. Fourth -- Nathan James, 100; Casey Good, 90.
