A memorial service for David LeRoy Castleberry, 68, a Gardnerville resident for the past seven years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. Viewing will precede the service there from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Mr. Castleberry died Nov. 4, 2003, in Gardnerville. He was born May 20, 1935, in Bristol, Okla., to Arvil and Dorothy McEuin Castleberry.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Las Vegas for 28 years.
Mr. Castleberry worked as a management coordinator at Central Telephone Co., and retired after 23 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife, Joyce of Gardnerville; daughter, Linda Kooiman; son, Daniel Porter of Oklahoma; stepchildren Sandy Campbell, Janell Schrader, Christy Powell and Cari Craighead, all of Las Vegas, Cathy Davies of Chandler, Ariz., Jim Powell of Sparks and Debbie Watkins of Oklahoma; sisters Shirley Gardner, Pat McAuley, Dorothy Kincaid, Mary Ellen Mullinay and Viola Atchley; brothers Dale, James and Raymond, all of Illinois, and Arvil of California; and 18 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Las Vegas on Nov. 14.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
